A white chrysanthemum called shiragiku, means truth or pain.
This flower blooms every year in Japan in autumn, when sake reaches its peak of maturity; just like Shiragiku, so does sake.
The name Shiragiku has a very kind, modest and polite character, she is usually quite shy with people she doesn’t know, but she is always willing to lend a hand to everyone around her.
Shiragiku is also a fictional character from the Kekkaishi anime series.
She is a powerful Ayakashi who is deeply in love with the main character of the series, Yoshimori Sumimura.
Shiragiku is developed to show a more emotional side of supernatural creatures that are often presented as purely evil, often forced to confront the inherent conflict between her love for humans and the danger she poses to them.
